This is our second year to participate in the dictionary project. Last year we started with one school and ended up supplying books to 3 schools. This year we are starting with 3 schools! We will present the books to the third graders in these three schools and talk briefly about the fabulous resource. Web site is very easy to use. Thanks.

5 or 6 years. We have had a great positive response from parents, teachers AND students. If we didn’t think it was worthwhile, we wouldn’t have done it for all these years.

This will be our third year- Rotary is very active sponsoring literacy projects locally. We have been participating in the Elks dictionary project since its inception. Great program. Our principals tell us that the students are seen carrying and using the dictionaries through their high school years.

Members of our Rotary Club will visit the public and private schools in the Centerville/Washington Township area and distribute the dictionaries to third graders and the thesauri to fifth graders. We have done this for 4 years. Great project, kids love the books.

One of the best projects I have been involved with! The gratitude of the students is overwhelming.
