This is our 4th year in the Project and we are quite proud and humbled by the experience. We are a small group of less than 50 members who hold miscellaneous fund raisers through the year to finance our project. The excitement on the faces of the children is well worth the work we put into our fundraising efforts.

The Kittanning Rotary club works with the Armstrong School District in purchasing dictionaries for all 3rd grades students for the entire district. This is our 6th of 7th year. We love the project and plan to continue to participate indefinitely. Joyce Tornquist, a deceased friend of one of our members, thought so much of the project that she left us enough money in her will to fund the project indefinitely. What a blessing for us.

The Rotary Club of Anne Arundel County began our dictionary project in 2004. Since that time we have given out over 10,000 dictionaries to area third graders. It is our favorite project. The Dictionary Project is a wonderful opportunity for our club to support education and connect with the schools. Thank you.
