Jupiter–Tequesta Rotary Club Dictionary Project a success
The Jupiter-Tequesta Rotary Club has just completed its 2010 Dictionary Project. In yet another very successful year the club distributed over 460 dictionaries to all third grade students at Beacon Cove Intermediate School, Good Shepherd Episcopal School and Jupiter Farms Elementary School. The children were thrilled to receive their very own personal dictionary.
Club members distributing the dictionaries, Ron Johnson, Bill Bean, Vic Strahan, Mike Grella, Joyce Koller, and Dennis Plante all had a great time with the kids and enjoyed the rewarding experience.
In conjunction with other Rotary and service clubs, the Jupiter-Tequesta Rotary Club’s mission is to provide every third grader in our service area with dictionary of their very own. Children learn writing and dictionary skills in the third grade. This gift provides the perfect opportunity to give each child something useful and personal.
The Jupiter-Tequesta Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m., at the Mangrove Bay, 110 Mangrove Bay Way, Jupiter.
