Veterans spread the word to students
Dear Dictionary Project,
Enclosed are photos and thank-you notes from the Dictionary Giveaway at the Charlton Street School. There is also a picture of the Mary E. Wells Jr. High that was given 72 books by request and Southbridge High who also asked for them for their students who have trouble reading. They were given 72 books also.
It was one of the best years with the teachers and the students. We will have a spelling bee at both schools next spring. The giveaway was paid for by the Worcester County Memorial Park and YOU. V.F.W. held the giveaway at all the schools. Every year the kids send me thank-you notes.
One of the teachers at Charlton Street School from the third grade was selected as the teacher of the year at State level for her twenty-five years of work with the children and the last three with the Dictionary Project programs.
Thank you for all the help you have given us in these projects.
Sincerely,
Activities Chairman
Edmund T. Skonieczny
