Fargo-Moorhead Rotarians receive district honors, awards
Members of the Fargo-Moorhead AM Rotary Club have been honored for service at the district level. Those honored include: Keith Brokke, Rotarian of the Year; Steve Aune, first place, community service; and Jennifer Miller, third, international service.
The club also received awards for their work as a group, including: Presidential Citation Award with Distinction; Best in District award; community service, first, for projects coordinated with the YWCA and Rape and Abuse Crisis Center Fargo-Moorhead; Interclub Service, first, for participating in projects with other Rotary clubs in the community; and fundraising, second, for the Lobster and Lefse Festival and annual rose sale.
The club also was recognized for its 18 years of support for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp.
All four Rotary clubs in the Fargo-Moorhead community were recognized for their combined efforts in the area of international service and received the first place award for their work in Guatemala, India and the Congo.
The four clubs also received the Literacy Award for their efforts with the English Language Learners project and the annual dictionary project for third grade students attending Fargo-Moorhead schools.
