We made the Angel List
The Dictionary Project was selected by the Charities Division of the SC Secretary of State’s Office and the Honorable Jim Miles as a 2002 Angel. Mary French, Executive Director, received the award on behalf of the organization.
The Dictionary Project was selected "in recognition of exceptional service to the cause they represent and the citizens of South Carolina, Exemplary compliance with the Solicitation of Charitable Funds Act, and an outstanding percentage of expenditure towards that cause in relation to overall program expenditures."
Though the South Carolina Secretary of State’s office has a policy that once a charity has been named to the Angel List it cannot be named again, we have maintained our level of program services at 95 percent each year to honor the award and what it means to the people who support charitable endeavors.
