Adult learners receive dictionaries
The Putnam County (TN) Adult Literacy Council is a great program that works hand in hand with the Putnam County Adult Learning Center, which provides for under-educated adult students in our community.
We thought the Dictionary Project would be a great way to participate in the education of our adult students in GED and ESOL classes. The students will receive A Student’s Dictionary or Webster’s Spanish/English Dictionary.
The primary focus of our organization is the human services of literacy, GED, and skillbuilding. By improving the participants’ education, they are more employable and are often better able to take care of personal, family, and civic responsibilities. Helping to break the cycle of under-education and under-employment directly impacts the health and welfare of our children and the quality of life in our community.
