Kiwanians make learning connection
Brighton Kiwanians recently distributed personal dictionaries to all of the third graders in all four of the Brighton public elementary schools, Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran School, Maple Tree Montessori Academy, St. Patrick Catholic School, Cornerstone Christian School, and Charyl Stockwell Academy.
The Brighton Kiwanis Club with Brighton orthodontist Dr. Samuel Daniels handed out, in one day, personal dictionaries to every third grader as part of the worldwide Dictionary Project. For some children, this may be the very first book that they have owned. The dictionary makes a difference in each of the children’s lives by giving them this important tool.
The Brighton Kiwanis Club has provided over 4,224 dictionaries to Brighton area third graders in the past seven years. For more information on the Dictionary Project or the Brighton Kiwanis, call (810) 227-0393.
