Local businesses partner with Kiwanis of Central Broward

Local businesses of Broward County enabled the Kiwanis Club of Central Broward to expand its dictionary project from seven to nine elementary schools. The dictionary is a MUST for third graders. 

Rock Island Elementary School’s sponsoring partner is Speedy Script Pharmacy Inc. Sponsoring partner for Martin Luther King Elementary is James C. Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., and North Fork’s sponsoring partner is Spoon’s Grill and Restaurant, Inc.

Other sponsoring partners are Ebony Heritage Travel, Inc.; Multiple Choice Realty, Inc.; Allen Family Allfor Investments, Inc., Mike Black’s Swing Band; Commissioner Hayward J. Benson, Jr.; Commissioner Ken Thurston; and Kiwanis members.

Members of the Aktion Club, a Central Broward sponsored special needs group, labeled and prepared more than 725 dictionaries for distribution to third graders at Dillard, Broward Estates, Larkdale, Martin Luther King, North Fork, Rock Island, Sunland Park, Walker, and Westwood Heights Elementary Schools in Broward County, Fla.
