Eden Elementary students eagerly explore their new dictionaries
Morrisville Rotarians have presented 170 dictionaries from the South Carolina based Dictionary Project to 3rd graders at Eden, Craftsbury, Elmore, Greensboro, Hyde Park, Johnson, Morrisville and Woodbury Elementary Schools in Vermont. At each school, two Rotarians gave a short presentation and shared the many sections of these personal books with the students. The shared goal of the Dictionary Project and Rotarians is ‘to assist all students to become good writers, active readers and creative thinkers by providing students a gift of their own personal dictionary.’ Free dictionaries are just one of the several annual literacy projects that Morrisville Rotary shares with our community. Contact Deanna Wood at 888-1410 or Tim Sargent at 888-2000 for more Rotary information. Join us at the Stonegrill Restaurant and Pub at noon on Wednesdays.
