Children learn about dictionaries from Mr. Webster himself
Our Kiwanis Club of Minisink Valley has been doing a dictionary project for the last six years. I met Mary French at a past District convention and brought the idea for a dictionary project back to the club, and they loved it. It is my favorite project that we do each year. In fact this year I dressed up as Noah Webster at each of the assemblies we had. In the 15-20 minute assemblies I talked about Noah Webster and his dedication to creating the dictionary. We had questions and answers with the students, and then each dictionary was personally handed out to all of the students by Kiwanians.
