Charlotte Rotary climbs mountain, distributes dictionaries

Members of the Rotary Club of Charlotte participated in a District trip to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Rotary International’s End Polio Now campaign. Before the hike, we met with seven area Rotary Clubs in Tanzania and presented the club presidents with dictionaries for their local schools. We took along 2 cases of dictionaries, which we gave to the following groups:

The Rotary Clubs passed them along to schools in their area.

Rotary Club of Mamba (4)
Rotary Club of Mwika (4)
Rotary Club of Marangu (4)
Rotary Club of Kilema Kati (4)
Rotary Club of Machame (4)
Rotary Club of Moshi (4)
One president got very excited because they just started an essay contest and these dictionaries will be the prizes for the top 4 winners.

MAASAI VILLAGE
On one part of our trip, we visited a Maasai Village and met some of the younger children.
We gave out 4 dictionaries to the school

MOSHI ORPHANAGE
Two of our colleagues took 4 dictionaries to an Orphanage in Moshi
