New Salisbury Lions Club Donates Dictionaries to Harrison County Students
Elizabeth Reed along with fellow members of the New Salisbury Lions Club participated in their first ever Dictionary Project a few months ago as the Lions Club distributed 432 brand new dictionaries to students at Morgan Elementary School and North Harrison Elementary School in Indiana.
The New Salisbury Lions Club, chartered on October 14th, 1997, is made up of 31 individuals who are all actively involved with their community. The Lions Club supports numerous causes such as those that help with the Special Olympics, promote diabetes awareness, and provide eyeglasses to children. In addition to their Dictionary Project, the Lions Club also supports five state projects which include Cancer Control, Leader Dog, Speech and Hearing, School for the Blind, as well as Eye and Tissue Bank projects.
