Quaker Valley Rotary Club Donates Dictionaries to Pennsylvania Third-Graders
The third-graders at Osborne Elementary School gathered for a special dictionary presentation this past February when members of the Quaker Valley Rotary Club visited their Pennsylvania school.
As part of their first ever Dictionary Project, Rotary Club members visited the local elementary school in order to provide each third-grade student with a personal dictionary to call their own. At the completion of its 2014 distribution, the Rotary Club had provided a total of 144 dictionaries to students in the Quaker Valley School District.
One elementary school principal writes of the Rotary Club’s donation, “The kids were very excited and really enjoyed the special gift. Your message of service is really important for all to hear. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with our third grade students.”
Quaker Valley Rotary Club president Graeme Purcell adds of the Rotary Club’s recent distribution, “This was our first presentation for our club, a great time was had by all…We hope it will become an annual event.”
