Maryland Students at Waldon Woods Elementary Receive Dictionaries
This fall, Rotary Club of Upper Marlboro President Stephen Cumberland and Vice President Jamal Abuswai presented dictionaries to happy and appreciative third grade students at Waldon Woods Elementary School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. For ten years, the Rotary Club has taken the initiative to partner with The Dictionary Project in order to sponsor schools in the Maryland area. Because of the hard work and dedication of the Upper Marlboro Rotary Club members, over 6,000 students have received the gift of a dictionary. We commend the organization for their commitment to education.
