GFWC du Midi Encourages Educational Development Through the Gift of a Dictionary

The objective of General Federation of Women’s Clubs du Midi is to encourage intellectual development and strengthen the pursuit of excellence in the arts, education, good government, international affairs, moral and spiritual values, and public welfare, with the main objective being a charitable purpose. To promote educational development, GFWC du Midi teamed up with The Dictionary Project in 2008 when Project Coordinator Judy Gattis introduced the program to fellow members. Since then, GFWC du Midi has sponsored over 6,000 students in Madison County School District, AL. Their dedication to community service will continue to leave a lasting impression on Madison County students.
