Paradise Valley Rotarians Provide Learning Tool to Third Graders
This is the 12th year the Paradise Valley Rotary Club has participated in The Dictionary Project by delivering dictionaries to students in the Paradise Valley Unified School District. It is one of the Rotary Club’s most enjoyable and rewarding community service activities. Since the Club began participating, members have delivered over 36,000 dictionaries to third grade students in the Paradise Valley Unified School District.
Rotarians, their spouses, families and friends, as well as Interact members from Paradise Valley high schools met at the Merlino Ranch on September 16, 2015, and prepared approximately 3,000 dictionaries for delivery. The delivery process began the next day, with Rotarians contacting their assigned schools and arranging dates for hand-delivering to each third grade class.
