Indio Noon Rotary Club
Rotarians in Indio, California, visited 12 elementary schools in their community. They were able to provide over 1,200 third grade students with dictionaries. While at the schools, members helped the students learn how to use their new dictionaries by having them find words they found interesting and replying with the definition and sample sentences. Club President Steve Morgan says of The Dictionary Project: “This is one of the most exciting projects we work on each year. The excitement and pride exhibited by these third graders is magical and reminds us why we are Rotarians. These are our future leaders and Rotary, through their various programs, is focused on helping them achieve greatness.”
