Students in Hidalgo County Receive Dictionaries for the 10th Year

Volunteers from the Lordsburg Elks Lodge #1813 completed their annual dictionary project this past fall after distributing 48 dictionaries to students attending both R.V. Taylor and Southside Elementary Schools in Lordsburg, New Mexico. The Elks have donated over 500 dictionaries since the start of the project in 2005 and have remained committed to providing students in Hidalgo County with dictionaries of their very own. To help fund their dictionary project, the New Mexico Elks Association matches the Lordsburg Elks Lodge’s donation. This combined effort to continue The Dictionary Project each year is a true sign of the Elks’ commitment to education in their local community.
