Noah Webster Presents Dictionaries to Webster, NY Students
We are always excited to hear fun and unique ways to present dictionaries to students. The Rotary Club of Webster has one of their Rotarians dress up as Noah Webster for the presentation. This year, Bill Ruoff played the part and gave students a short history lesson on the life of Noah and his development of the dictionary. “The students’ reaction to him is very positive and they ask him questions as if he were actually Noah Webster,” said fellow Rotarian Ross Willink. Since starting the project tin 2009, members of the Webster Rotary Club have donated over 7,000 dictionaries to students in Webster Central School District, NY.
