It is such a thrill to walk into a classroom of third graders who are awaiting their dictionaries with wide grins and enthusiasm! Upon receiving their dictionaries, the room filled with excitement as the discover they many interesting features of their dictionaries. One of my friends called me on the same day as we had visited her grandson’s classroom. She said, ” You made my grandson’s day today! He came rushing into the house exclaiming, ‘Nana! See my new dictionary! It’s not an ordinary dictionary. It has a lot of neat stuff in the back!‘ He was so excited!” – Glenys Ryder, Danville Junction Grange Community Service Committee Chairman.
