Ocean City Elks Lodge shares thank-you letters
Thank you for the opportunity to showcase the 3rd grade students in the Ocean City Elks # 2645 District of Maryland.
Enclosed are letters of appreciation from the students of the schools in our district that received `A Student`s Dictionary` through a Gratitude Grant from the Elks National Foundation. The four participating schools were Berlin Elementary School, Buckingham Elementary School, Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School, Ocean City Elementary School, and Worcester Preparatory School.
It was a great pleasure to be present when the students were given their personal dictionaries and feel sure you, too, will appreciate their written expressions of joy in having their very own personal dictionary.
Thank you for sharing their enthusiasm with others.
In appreciation,
Toni Wagner, ENF Chair
Ocean City Elks Lodge # 2645
From Ocean City Elementary School:
`Dear Ocean City Elks,
Thank you for the dictionaries. We really appreciate you giving us the books. Is there any thing we can do for you? Just say the word. The dictionaries are helping us learn a lot of things that we don`t even know so thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Danasia`
`Dear Ocean City Elks,
Thank you for our dictionaries. We are really using them a lot. We really appreciate you guys. I use my dictionary as a spelling book and a dictionary at the same time. And when I have some free time I look in my dictionary and learn about the presidents of the United States of America. Thanks again for our dictionaries.
Sincerely,
Bruklyn`
From Buckingham Elementary School:
`Dear Ocean City Elks,
Thank you for our student dictionary. I admire how you make dictionaries for the students at Buckingham. And at the other schools. I am going to use my dictionary by looking in it to figure out the definitions that the teacher tells me to look up. Words like bat, or hat, and also loyal.
Sincerely,
Daymont`
`Dear Ocean City Elks,
Thank you for our student dictionary. It helps me a lot when I read. I really appreciate my dictionary. When I read a book and come across a word I don`t know I swipe out my dictionary and see what the word is and what it means. The dictionary helps me become a better reader and better student.
Sincerely,
Kayleigh`
