Crazy about words

 I enjoy doing the lesson plan every year for our presentation. This year, I had the kids select a "pet" letter in advance of our date. After they received their dictionaries, I had them scope out that letter, then browse for a 5-letter word beginning with the pet letter, which they didn’t know. Then I called on them randomly to stand and make a little presentation on their "discovery"…it went very well, to everyone’s delight. It’s always wonderful to see eyes opening wide in new discovery.
