Thumbs up!

Thumbs up for Fairport Grange #467, which recently presented more than 500 dictionaries to third graders in the Fairport Central School District as part of the "Words for Thirds" program. Said Beverly Marvin, president of Fairport Grange #467, their dictionary project aims to help kids become "good writers, active readers and creative thinkers." This is a worthy cause. Literacy is as critical as ever in the digital age.
