Dictionary Day in Decatur

This is our fifth consecutive year for distributing around 3,000 dictionaries to students in three surrounding counties. We had around 30 volunteers to help with this distribution. We received private donations and supplemented the remainder of the cost through projects. The Emblem Club cooks a meal once a month and donates the money to the dictionary project. We have one lady who cooks a meal to be served after our monthly meetings, buys all the food and donates all the money collected to the dictionary project. We also sponsored a golf tournament to raise money for the project. The Dictionary Project is dear to our hearts.
