Chatham Rotary 2011 dictionary project

Access to dictionaries is an important factor in learning to read. For the past six years the Chatham Rotary Club has worked with the Rotary Clubs in Danville to give dictionaries to all third-grade students in Pittsylvania County. This year the Chatham Rotary Club bought and distributed almost 200 dictionaries to third-grade students in Chatham, Gretna, Mt. Airy, and Hurt as well as the Carlisle Academy.
