Rotary Club of Highlands Ranch Donates Dictionaries to Douglas County Third-Graders
Members of the Rotary Club of Highlands Ranch donated 432 dictionaries to students attending Acres Green, Copper Mesa, Coyote Creek, Eldorado, and Sand Creek Elementary Schools in Littleton and Highlands Ranch, Colorado this past December.
The Rotary Club has donated over 3,500 dictionaries since the start of its project in 2006 and has remained committed to providing students in the Douglas County School District with dictionaries of their very own.
In addition to its annual dictionary project, the Rotary Club also participates in other literacy projects such as ‘Books for Babes,’ which provides new parents with a book that they can read to their child, as well as information regarding the importance of reading to children from a young age. The Rotary Club is also actively involved with other services such as ‘Make a Difference Day,’ ‘Project C.U.R.E.,’ and ‘Project Warm Hearts,’ among many others.
