Kaysville Rotary Dictionary Gift to Every 3rd Grade Student

Each year the Kaysville Rotary Club delivers a gift to every 3rd grade student at each Kaysville elementary school. The gift of literacy is a major initiative of Rotary International and the Kaysville Rotary. The smiles on the faces of each 3rd grader as they are given a brand new dictionary of their own is inspiring. The joy children find in learning new words, and exploring the pages of a dictionary is something we can all remember. Each student receives a new dictionary which has a special place for them to write their names in the front cover, making the book their very own. “Is it mine?” “Do I get to keep it?” is asked by many students, and when they are told “Yes”, [sic] they are as happy as a kid in a candy store!
