This is the third year we have participated in the Dictionary Project. The students love to receive the dictionaries.

This will be our third year of this project and we just love it! It is a wonderful way for us to show the young people in our community that we believe in them and their potential to be outstanding students.

Kiwanis of Henderson have been putting dictionaries in Vance County North Carolina for 5 years. The teachers have developed a love of these additional resources.

This is our 9th year doing this. The students really enjoy it. My husband and I are known as ‘The Dictionary People’.

This is the third year of the Dictionary Project. The teachers are so pleased the students get the dictionaries – it helps in the SOL’s (Standard of Learning tests) and as one teacher told me, “I couldn’t afford to buy dictionaries for all my students.” The students think it’s special also to have something of their own. It’s a wonderful program! It’s so much fun. Children come back to us years later and tell us that they still have their dictionaries and that it was the best gift they ever got! It’s a wonderful program!

The kids love getting their own dictionary and write wonderful thank you letters to the Grange. What a wonderful program for them and us!

This is the 4th year we have participated in the project. It has been a big hit with the kids, teachers and administrators. The Superior Kiwanis Club has sponsored the Dictionary Project for third graders in our school district for the past 8 years! Our third graders love the dictionaries and it has been a great PR project for the Superior Kiwanis Club.

Members of the group go to all the schools in the district. In today’s economy, it’s great to give dictionaries to the students so their parents don’t have to buy it, or the teachers or the schools. It’s great for everyone!
