Elwin Wright, Kiwanis Club of Edmonds, Edmonds, WA
As mentioned, we serve a portion of our total School District. We attempt to work cooperatively with other organizations in covering the total district. A well received and fun project! We love it and so do the schools, parents, and children!
Bob Fonville, Rotary Club of Hemet Sunrise, Hemet, CA
We have been distributing these books to all third grade students in the Hemet Unified school district for 4 or 5 years. They are so happy to have their “own” book and it’s a great pleasure to see the look on their faces.

This is our 2nd year to donate the dictionaries and we feel that it is a wonderful project.
Jim Meserve, Chelsea Grange # 215, Farmingdale, ME
This is the fourth year we have given dictionaries to these two schools. Now the students eagerly await their dictionaries, having heard from the previous class about them!

I want to thank you for making this project available and affordable. The students are thrilled when they receive their dictionaries and are very happy to learn how to use it as well. The teachers are happy to allow us to the opportunity to provide this information to their students.

This will be our 7th year doing Versailles and North Star, our 4th year doing Russia, and our 3rd year doing Ansonia (elementary schools). It’s a great project to help the kids in their learning process.

We are convinced that it has a very positive effect on the students, teachers, administrators, community, and parents. I was asked to “spread the word” about this fine project to the other two Rotary Clubs in Arizona. This was done, and many other organizations and clubs became... Read More

It allows us to interact directly with the children, and it is astonishing to see how excited the children become about getting a book! We have found, in follow-up years, that the teachers wind up giving their own copies to new children coming in. The teachers tell us they have incorporated... Read More
Linda Lusher, Rotary Club of Franklin, Franklin, PA
This is our third year to distribute dictionaries to all 3rd graders in the Valley Grove, Franklin and St. Patrick’s schools. The children just love receiving their very own dictionary. This is a great project and we are very happy to be a part of it. Recently one of our Rotarians visited Guatemala and she took our “extras” to the children in Antigua.
