Great project. We have heard back from parents who say the dictionary is well used in the home after the student completes their 3rd grade year.

The Bedford Lions Club has been sponsoring this project for at least 6 years, and it has been very much appreciated by the schools and students. The Keyser Rotary Club is in its sixth year of giving every student in Mineral County, WV, in the fourth grade a dictionary. Many of the kids have told us they have carried them all through school with students who received the first dictionaries now in the 10th grade. We believe it is a valuable educational tool.

We participated in the Dictionary Project last year and were amazed at the appreciation and excitement of the students. We wanted to get an early start this year.

This will be our 5th year with the Dictionary Project. We consider this a blessing for those who receive this gift. We look forward to enriching the lives of those these books will affect.

The Dictionary Project is one that Hammond Rotary really looks forward to and wants to continue doing for a long time. I think the people that have organized this project came up with a wonderful idea that many people can get involved in.

This is our 7th year of contributing dictionaries to 3 graders in 9 public and 5 private schools in central Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Each year, the students and their teachers are more appreciative of the donation. My favorite event is the child who sent me a letter of thanks that ended P.S. I used the dictionary to spell Sincerely.
