Our group formed 3 years ago and gave out close to 2000 Dictionaries that first year to all third graders in 2 public school districts plus private schools and home-schooled children. We have been participating for 4 years and hope to get to reach out to other schools in our area. We believe this is a worthwhile program, and very glad to be able to participate.

Southeast Polk Kiwanis has been giving dictionaries to all third graders in the district for several years. When the school lets us deliver them to the classroom, it is very rewarding to see smiles on their faces and hear “thank you” from each child and teacher.

There is nothing like the joyful look on the third graders’ faces when they receive a book of their very own!

We donate thesauruses because Rotary donates dictionaries. Several of our club members go to the school and distribute them in the classrooms. I have previously describe our Club’s on going Dictionary Project.. We feel your dictionary project is wonderful. It not only provides children with learning tools but also provides some children with the only book they have ever had of their own.. This is a Rotary Club project..

We have been distributing dictionaries in the school district for almost 10 years. It is one of our favorite club activities. It is a great project and the Dictionary Project makes is very easy to do this every year.

This is our 8th year, and our members love the project and helping children in our community. We think the Dictionary Project is a wonderful organization, and recommend it to other Kiwanis Clubs as often as we can.
