Our 6th year to distribute dictionaries. We are happy to be a part of this great program.

We have been doing this program in our parish since 2005 and our parish LOVES it! This is a wonderful resource for the children and many have never owned their own book.

This is an annual project for our Auxiliary Unit. It is a great project as we at the auxiliary get a chance to provide these tools to children that may not otherwise be able to afford them.

The Bluffton, Indiana Rotary club provides dictionaries to all 3rd graders in Wells county. We enjoy helping the children of Wells county, and being part of Rotary International’s literacy enhancing programs.

Our program is going on its sixth year – has been well received by students and teachers alike – Rotarians enjoy being in the classrooms and presenting dictionaries.

We as volunteers have enjoyed giving these dictionaries to the students over the years. They are so appreciative and thank us for giving them the books to take home. We of the Kiwanis clubs believe that being a small part of the changing of so many lives with these books and improve literacy in our great country.

2011 marks our 8th year in partnership with the Dictionary Project to provide a dictionary to every 3rd grade student in eight elementary schools in Barstow Unified School District and three elementary schools in Silver Valley Unified School District. We love this project and so do our students and teachers.

RWBHC has participated in this project for the last five or six years. RWBHC will continue this project because it is a great learning tool for 3rd graders. You can tell how excited they are when each student receives his/her own to use at home and school.
