We appreciate the reaction that we get from both the students and teachers. They are always very thankful. This is my 10th year of being chair of the Dictionary Project for our Club – what more do I need to say?

This will be our 4th year giving dictionaries to the 3rd graders in our community. We appreciate how affordably we can give the dictionaries. Keep up the great work.

The Lima and Honeoye Falls-Mendon Rotary Clubs have been donating the dictionaries to the third graders at the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School and the Lima Christian School for the past 10 years. We distribute to three school districts for a total of seven classrooms. Wahoo Elementary, Mead Elementary are public and St. Wenceslaus is a private school. We personally deliver books to each classroom and use the tool box approach telling the students that the dictionary is a tool for learning just as a hammer or saw is a tool for a carpenter.

This is the 3rd year the Rotary Club of Franklinton has participated with this project. Very honored to be able to deliver the dictionaries to all 3rd grade students in our school district. Great project! Goes hand in hand with Rotary service projects to combat illiteracy!
