This will be our 3rd distribution to the school system. It allows our Rotary Club to do a very worthwhile service project and help boys & girls to read more easily.

Our wonderful Soledad Rotarians each personally help pay for the dictionaries. We have a can labeled ‘Dictionary Project.’ At each meeting once a week we pass the can around, and each Rotarian puts what they can afford into the can. Sometimes even guests want to donate. This is a great Rotary Project. We are excited to do it, as our neighboring Rotary Clubs all do the project! The funds were given in Memory of J. Don and Delores Miller of Seward, longtime business and civic leaders in the Seward Rotary and the GFWC Seward Woman’s Club.

This will be the 6th year we have been active in distributing Student Dictionaries to 10 area third grade school students. It has become one of the members’ favorite projects! Fantastic! Even with the internet, the kids are totally excited to receive the book.

Our Delhi Rotary Club has been participating in this project for about 5 years. As a teacher in the Delhi School District, I can tell you that the 3rd graders now look forward to receiving their dictionaries. We have been doing this for about 5 years. We think this is a wonderful project!! Our little 3rd graders are just thrilled to get their book. Some of these kids won’t ever get another book like this. Thank you so much.

This is the sixth year that the Orangevale Grange # 354 has been giving a dictionary to every 3rd grade student in the Orangevale and Fair Oaks communities. It is just great. All the students and teachers rave about how complete the dictionary is and that it fits perfectly in their backpacks.

This is the first time the Rotary Club of Mission is participating in the Dictionary project. The Mission CISD school board and principals of each elementary school are excited about receiving this educational resource for the children to have within their respective homes.

This will be our eighth year. The teachers and students look forward to it each year. We think the project is fantastic. The people from the Grange think very highly of Mary French.
