This is a great way to help underserved schools with a powerful and useful resource at a great price.

Our club and district have participated since 2003, and this year Rotary District 5420 will for the first time reach every one of the 513 public schools in Utah as well as 39 of 47 charter schools and 44 of 58 private schools.

This our 4th year. The children look forward to it every year.

The Newton Rotary Club donates a dictionary to every 3rd grader in both the public and private schools. We do this project toward the end of the school year and encourage each student to take their dictionary home in order to have access to at least one reference book.

Kids just love to learn and the more excited we can keep them about learning through the elementary and middle school experience it will carry them through life-long learning excitement. We have been doing this project for the last several years. We enjoy doing this and students look forward to our visit.

This is our sixth year of doing this project. The response from the kids is fantastic. Fantastic project. Well run. Very happy with the books themselves (A Student’s Dictionary) and very happy that the cost is so reasonable and includes shipping.

We provide dictionaries to the Beech Hill School in Otis, Maine; this is a small rural school and the usual count of 3rd graders is 13-14 students.
