This is our Rotary Club’s fourth year and we love how excited the kids get when we deliver the dictionaries. It is a great program and we feel that it really makes a difference in the lives of kids.

This will be the 8th year we will be giving 3rd graders dictionaries in the Algonquin School Regional 16 schools. This is our 2nd year of donating and we are expanding. We order in the spring and deliver the dictionaries in the Fall. That way the students get to use the books the entire year. We all at the Rice Lake Elks Lodge think this is the most amazing program. Thanks to all who work and organize it.

As soon as the books come in, I will contact the schools and schedule a delivery time. I then announce to our club when and where so Rotarians can join in the fun. Beacon Light Grange has participated for over 6 years. We still hear from high schoolers and parents that they still have their dictionaries. This project has helped keep the Grange in the public eye.

This is our fourth year with the dictionary project. For the first time, we are donating world atlases to 5th graders. Can’t say enough about it. It’s the most hands-on project we have.

The Saugerties Elks Lodge # 2574 has been participating in the dictionary project for 6 years. The 3rd graders have always been excited to receive their dictionaries. The teachers in our district have added the dictionaries as part of their classwork. This is a great program and we are proud to be a part of it.

When I heard about the dictionary project I knew our club would want to participate. I have heard personal testimonies of others who have been involved in the project and they had nothing but positive comments.

The four Pocatello, Idaho, Rotary Clubs: Pocatello Rotary Club, Gate City Rotary Club, Centennial Rotary Club, and the Portneuf Rotary Club, combined efforts to do The Dictionary Project.
