Jean Fox, Rotary Club of Richfield, Burnsville, MN
This is our fourth year doing this project. It is the most popular project of our club and we get high participation among the members for the distribution. We really love the great thank you letters we get back from the kids. Thanks for making it so easy for us.
Patricia Byler, Rotary Club of Smyrna Clayton, Dover, DE
I have been with the Smyrna Clayton Rotary Club for six years and I have been the chairperson for five. We have done this project for over eight years that I can tell. This is a great project and the district looks forward to seeing us every year. This is a great project, and many of my fellow Rotarians look forward to distributing the... Read More

The teachers and administrators in our schools are very happy with the dictionary program and report that students treasure their book. Our club is pleased with the meaningful results and such a reasonable cost. We are a rural school district and our children need every opportunity to grow their educational skills for the future that lies ahead of them. Great program!
Patricia A. Neumann, Bethel and Olalla Granges, Olalla, WA
I think it is a marvelous program and the two Granges are glad they can participate. Olalla Grange #1125 and Bethel Grange #404. Both Granges are in South Kitsap in Washington state. The Granges split the cost so all 3rd graders in the South Kitsap School District receive a dictionary.
Amy Lecocq, Montgomery County Republican Women, The Woodlands, TX
This is our second year to participate in the dictionary project. Last year we started with one school and ended up supplying books to 3 schools. This year we are starting with 3 schools! We will present the books to the third graders in these three schools and talk briefly about the fabulous resource. Web site is very easy to use. Thanks.
Mike Poll, Rotary Club of South Amboy Sayreville, South Amboy, NJ
5 or 6 years. We have had a great positive response from parents, teachers AND students. If we didn’t think it was worthwhile, we wouldn’t have done it for all these years.
Kathy Jans Duffy, Rotary Club of Seneca Falls, Seneca Falls, NY
This will be our third year- Rotary is very active sponsoring literacy projects locally. This is a great project – there is a good value for the money spent and it is easy for all Rotarians to participate. The Seneca Falls Rotary Club raises money throughout the year for several projects but the Dictionaries are a line item in the budget for at least... Read More

We have been participating in the Elks dictionary project since its inception. Great program. Our principals tell us that the students are seen carrying and using the dictionaries through their high school years.
Donald Stewart, Rotary Club of Centerville, Centerville, OH
Members of our Rotary Club will visit the public and private schools in the Centerville/Washington Township area and distribute the dictionaries to third graders and the thesauri to fifth graders. We have done this for 4 years. Great project, kids love the books.
James Roney, Rotary Club of North East, North East, MD
One of the best projects I have been involved with! The gratitude of the students is overwhelming.
