We have been doing this project for five years. Two of the schools have been with us for all five years, while the other ones jumped on afterwards.. We feel it is important to do every thing we can to ensure our children have the tools necessary to succeed in life..

The Dictionary Project was the first project our club did after we were chartered in 2006.. We love seeing the faces of the third graders when they receive their dictionaries. We’ve received wonderful thank you notes from the students and even photos of what the dictionaries look like after a year of use. The students love getting them and we enjoy giving them!.

This is our 5th year of participation. We distribute to 13 Title 1 Elementary Schools in Clovis. A Title 1 school is a school that has over 30% socio-economically disadvantaged students who receive some form of federal assistance.. We are enthusiastically welcomed to these schools by the teachers and students each year..

For the eighth year, it is our privilege to be able to present a brand new dictionary to each sixth grade student. Seeing the smile of appreciation and excitement on their faces is heart-warming. We learned about the project from a Rotary club member, and have been sponsoring Reynolds School District for three years.. We love the project and it is very well received in the school. It makes our club look good to the public and school administrators. It makes our club members feel good about being a part of the project..
