Dixie County Rotary Club has been providing the dictionaries to 3rd graders in Dixie County for over 5 years. It is one of our most successful and appreciated projects. The faces of the 3rd graders light up when the children realize that these dictionaries belong to them. We spend a few moments helping learn to look up words, and we share the Rotary Four-Way Test. We look forward to the day when 3rd graders from the past become seniors in high school and we meet with them again and we discover the impact that these dictionaries have had on their educational journey.
