We have been providing dictionaries for local school children for 5 years now and it is one of our favorite annual programs. The appreciation of the children and school personnel is amazing. Truly an opportunity to serve our community in a meaningful way. We have been getting dictionaries since the inception of our program and have found the Dictionary Project the only way a small club like ours can provide such a terrific gift to local children. The project is to provide dictionaries to all the third grade children in Fernley, NV. We have been doing this for several years and this year added the school in Silver Springs, NV, 13 miles south of Fernley. We were able to do this after we found that the Lyon County Republican Woman’s group had already provided dictionaries to one of our three schools already. Everyone benefits from the service you provide and I am glad to see the project spread throughout this community but the region. I think this is one of the BEST programs I have ever run across. For several years I have been able to provide dictionaries to the children in Fernley, NV, and now the new Rotary Club (where I am a member) has very happily taken over the project. We could not do this without access to the very reasonable dictionaries. Additionally I am absolutely impressed with how the program (and website) has grown and matured over the years. You have really come a long way!!
