The school we sponsor is in an underprivileged area and because of that, this may be the only book a child owns. This is the reason we want these dictionaries that not only have words but also information on the make-up of the United States. The leftover dictionaries are given to an after-school program for boys without fathers in another part of town. This Rotary club has been doing this for a very long time – I would guess more than ten years. This is a favorite project for our club and most members enjoy giving out the books at the school.
