Merritt Island Rotary supports literacy projects in our community. One of these projects is our annual thesaurus project, where we deliver a thesaurus to every 9th grader in the 3 public/private schools on Merritt Island. This project will deliver approximately 600 thesauruses to every 9th grader attending a Merritt Island public/private school. We have been doing this project for a number of years and it is well received by the students and the schools.
