This is the 7th year we have offered this program that we have named “Look It Up”. The third graders are thrilled to receive their own dictionary, and through brief presentations, they learn about Rotary, the Library and the local education fund. The Rotary of the Stoningtons and the Mystic Rotary purchase the dictionaries. The Leslie Buck Memorial Fund provides the school buses. The Library provides the space, Library cards, storytime and creates the scavenger hunt. We explain to the students that the project is an example of adult team work (team work is a theme in the schools).
