Robert Myers, Rotary Club of Centennial, Pocatello, ID

The four Pocatello, Idaho, Rotary Clubs: Pocatello Rotary Club, Gate City Rotary Club, Centennial Rotary Club, and the Portneuf Rotary Club, combined efforts to do The Dictionary Project. The project entailed personally handing and giving a dictionary to every public and private third-grade student in the Pocatello /Chubbuck area. All new third-grade teachers also received a dictionary. In total over 70 Rotarians distributed and personally gave to 1,125 students their own dictionary. The project required a great deal of coordination with schools, principals, teachers, and Rotarians. We as Rotarians were pleased to participate in this fine project supporting literacy in our community. We thank your organization for making this great project feasible.
