Dear Mrs. Collier, Mr. Bathrick, and the members of the Lakewood Elks # 1777,
On behalf of the third grade students and their teachers here at Governor’s Ranch Elementary School, I want to thank you for your generous gift of dictionaries for each of our third grade students. We appreciate your participation in the Dictionary Project and are grateful to have our students be the recipients of these resources. I was in one of our third grade classes today and observed many of our students already using this valuable tool during a writing lesson. When I asked them about their new dictionaries, several kids told me about some of the features that excited them, including the sign language information, the information about states and presidents, and the maps. The teacher was also excited for her students to have them, saying that this is a tool that they incorporate into their curriculum every year and one that their students rely on throughout their third grade year and beyond. Thank you very much for your continued commitment to our students.
