Dear friends, … Members of the Asheville Biltmore Rotary Club distributed your dictionaries to these classes on February 4th, 2014. We also gave each classroom a copy of your Spanish-English dictionary and gave the school office six copies for use with parents. One-fourth of the students at Avery’s Creek are in English as a second Language classes. The school displays in the lobby the flags of the countries from which students come, and the display includes Mexico and the countries of Central America as well as South Korea and Ukraine. A teacher told us that for some children your dictionary was the only book in the house. The students keep the dictionary at school.
