Shana Fair, Rotary Club of Byesville, Senecaville, OH

This is an annual project for the club. We donate a dictionary to each 3rd grader in the district. For many of the students, this is the first book they have ever owned. Members of the club go to each school to personally distribute the dictionaries. One of the members will work with each class and get the students to use the dictionaries to look up a word and use the appendixes for additional information. This is a great project–especially for the kids in our Appalachian area.
